Kelley Commercial, LLC was founded in 2010 by Michael Kelley, a real estate professional with over 20 years of experience in commercial development and asset management. Mr. Kelley began his career working for several of the largest and best respected developers in the industry. He has acquired a diverse background in development, construction management, and asset management, and has established an excellent reputation for attention to detail, efficiency, and outstanding service.

Prior to forming Kelley Commercial, LLC, Mr. Kelley was a Development Manager for Panattoni Development Company, one of the most active and admired commercial real estate developers in the United States. He coordinated all aspects of the development process for industrial, retail, and office projects throughout Northern California. His responsibilities included due diligence, acquisition, design development, entitlement, construction management, marketing management, asset management, and financial reporting. In addition, he worked with Panattoni’s Capital Markets Group to facilitate the placement of debt and equity. During his nine years with Panattoni Development, Mr. Kelley managed new development projects totaling approximately 1.5 million square feet.

Before joining Panattoni, Mr. Kelley was a Project Manager for Buzz Oates, one of the most prolific and successful commercial developers in California. He initially joined the company as a property manager, responsible for over 7 million square feet of industrial, office, and retail properties in Sacramento. Following his successful service in property management, Mr. Kelley was promoted to Project Manager, and was responsible for the design, entitlement, and construction of office and industrial projects throughout Northern California. Like Panattoni, Buzz Oates is a vertically integrated organization, which afforded Mr. Kelley the opportunity to interact closely with the separate brokerage, construction, and asset management divisions during his seven years with the company.

Mr. Kelley began his career with a family-owned commercial construction and development company, for which he supervised tenant improvements, coordinated permitting, and managed office and industrial properties.

Mr. Kelley graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. In 2000, he earned his Master of Business Administration, with a Finance concentration, from the University of California at Davis, achieving membership in the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society. He achieved the designation of LEED Accredited Professional for New Construction in 2009.
